Getting ready to order wheels for my 2004 st.

I found some that I like , but I wasn't sure which size would work better with 315/70/17 tires .

17x8 5x4.5 os 35 cb 72.6 bs 5.88
17x8 5x4.5 os 10 cb 72.6 bs 4.89
17x9 5x4.5 os -12 cb 72.6 bs 4.53

thanks for the help

I have 17 X 9 with 4.5 BS . Some will say it's to much offset, but it has worked great for me. I wouldn't go anymore than a 4.5 BS

I like the wider wheel with that big of a tire, doesn't give the bulged sidewall look.

thanks newfy, I think I will go with the 17x9 ,, they have the best bs and also think a 35" tire would be better with a 9 inch wide rim..

Post up some pics when you get the new wheels and tires on.

Sure will, I still have to install the body lift, my vacation starts in a few weeks so I will get it on then ,did the aal and new shocks this past weekend, cant wait to I get it completed.

IMO, tire width is more of a issue on our truck than height. Wider wheels (i.e. 9") means shorter but wider tires. 8" would give more height, less width. I get some rubbing on the frame in the front with an 8" wide wheel, 4.25" backspace and 35x12.5 tires. I imagine it would be worse with more width.

I certainly wouldn't go over 4.5" backspacing.

thanks offtrac

do you think the 17x8 5x4.5 os 10 cb 72.6 bs 4.89 with 1inch or 1.5 inch spacers would work.

since the 17x9 have a 4.5 bs and is also 1 inch wider?

Technically, yes, I think it would fit.

I think running that size tires on spacers in the front are a bad idea though. Your hubs will not hold up well...according to wiser folks than myself; no experience here. I took that advice though and I'm still on original hubs.

I know the frustration you're going through right now. Finding aftermarket wheels that look good and fit our trucks is a practice of determination.
