theoretically, an 18x8.5 has around 16% more weight than a 17x8 (surface area wise).
although 18" looks so much better, a 17" seems more light weight, fits a bit better, and rides a bit better due to more rubber, a bit more forgiving on bumps, etc... it's also lighter so acceleration in my vehicle won't be sacrificied too much with the 17s.
however, 17s are everywhere... and i think 18s look a bit better.
20s are out of question... too heavy and too wide for me.
so which would be a good compromise?
