:hammer: Well we started on the inside of the box today and did fairly well. we were off 1/16 off of the 39" width, but everything else was prescise and on the money :D What we are going to do is this was a dry fit run we are going to back out the screws and apply a bead of liquid nails to the joints for add strength and no chance of air leakage. now we are justing waiting for a 18" stroker cant seem to find one now that i have the money:( once we get it though we are going to put the second layer of mdf over this making it 1.5" thick. cut the strokers hole and put in (2) 4" ports that are 7.5" long. thxs to leenjen for the box specs and ricks dad and him for letting me use tools! oh yea im going to paint it (not sure what color) and than paint a big cerwin vega logo and have STROKER on the top of box. the box pics are in my links sig. on page 4. lmk what you guys think and any suggestions.

hopefully you'll get the subwoofer soon. but at least you will have the enclosure done:)
it looks like you guys are doing a great job. i cant wait to see what it looks like when you get it painted. a CV logo on the box will look really cool.

still waiting....

well still havent found a 18 yet but i got some updated pics as we finished putting the second layer on the box and liquid nailed every damn thang! This thing is HEAVY with no sub my guess is it is close to 100 pounds. and the stroker is 40 pounds so this thing is going to be huge. im putting putty in the screw holes and seams and than we are going to give it a really really good smooth down. direct quote from rick's dad "as smooth as a 2year olds ass":p and than it will just be waiting for the lucky stroker. pics are in my sig.

i'm sure it weighs 100 lbs. the subwoofer box that i put in my mazda 626 is a 2.7 cuft enclosure with 1.5" MDF walls and it weighs 94 lbs.

i dont know why it's so hard lately to find an 18" Stroker. a year ago there was always at least one listed on ebay. good luck
