18X9 fit on 02+ 4-Door X?

all i can say is you guys need to move down south. :p the only rims i have ever bent were offroad (the lip).

FYI, my front tires are 255/50/17, which have the exact same sidewall height as the 275/45/20 that just about everyone here uses. i have alot of GT/Cobra/LS1 friends, and most run a 245/45 or 255/45/17 up front. none of them have ever bent a wheel either. you guys need to write some letters to your mayors. ;)

Screw that, if I move down there then the urban offroading has to end... Thend I'd have to jump medians and curbs and stuff instead of finding the deep potholes...

The roads here are hell on earth lol, I've bent one of the wheels on the Lexus (stock 16 inchers) and one on the Explorer (stock 15 inchers).

So then why is everyone arguing that 18s and 20s don't bend?

As long as you drive carefully, you will not bend a rim. I don't know how the heck Stephen bent a stock 15 inch rim with all that tire sidewall. Must've hit a pothole at 60mph or something.

The theory is that the Explorer's rim was bent from the factory, but I hit a really big pothole on the beltway in the Lexus. I was surprised it didnt flatten the tire actually.

i guess i must live in some Utopia state were no one bends wheels... ive been into sport trucks/cars for 12 years and i have never bent a wheel. to my knowledge, none of my friends have either.

im now considering swapping to my stockers when i travel. :p
