19 or 20 inch white 5 spokes?

I'm not sure if having the same size tire sitting on 2 different size rims will change the OD slightly or not. I would want to go with all one size. If I had your truck, those would be the exact wheels I would put on. They look sweet!

If it were my truck, I would go with nothing bigger than 18s- probably the Saleen rims.....
But, its not my truck. ;)

hey, i just finished my custom tails finally. lol. they've been painted and waiting to go for a long time and i finally fabbed up the covers and painted them the way i wanted to. at first blush i love them- i'll post pics sometime soon.

i really would like some 20s, but those white 18s are a very, very real possibility

i really do need to figure out where on the net i can buy those other than ebay, or find a set used though. that would really help me out.

Expo if you do end up with those white R's I would like to know how the 18 X 9 fits. I was looking at those same rims awhile back but was unsure if the white of my truck would match the white of the rim.

I like the first ones Robb put up. I've always liked 5 spoke wheels and with your white X, I think it would great.

So wait - sorry i'm a n00b with rims - but will any of those rims on that page fit on Explorers? If so which ones?

Theoretically yes because they all have a 5x4.5 bolt pattern, but since they are made for cars (FWD offset), you will run into rubbing problems unless you run a spacer.

Ah I see....so you just run a spacer and you're good to go?

Spacers are bad. Stay away from spacers.

didn't you used to run spacers?

Depends how wide you go with them... and then they're just going to increase wear on the front end... Similar effects would occur with a wheel with little back spacing... Not to mention... people run spacers with hummer beadlock (7in backspacing) on d44 and d60 front ends for clearance on steering arms... and have been successful. Granted in the hummer rim example, getting modified steering arms for the knuckles is better... just an example though. Spacers are fine, if not too big, and made out of a solid material.

Hmm, AMG Explorer, Cool! I like the Idea of finding what you want and have 'em painted to match. That way the tint is the same as the body.

I ran spacers for 5 minutes. They did solve my rubbing problem, but made my lugs come loose while I was driving!! They were 5/16" spacers and I guess I needed longer studs to run with them.

Uh oh...I never even thought about that! That must've been pretty scary!
