honestly, i would trade two caps for it to actually be cleaned up. no problems there.
I would too. so if he did yours and mine, he would have 4 good caps. Think he would go for it. ROFL

Looking awesome man! Thanks for the pics of the Clarion Center Channel. That's all the motivation I needed to order it :)

well, i got the rollpan in the mail today and got to work on things around 5 tonight.

sadly, it wasn't in quite as good of shape as i had expected. In my opinion the curvature wasn't good enough, the finish just wasn't good enough, and the mounting system wasn't gonna be strong enough.

I'll post some pics of it as i got it, and then some as i went to work at making it how i wanted it

as you can see i decided to just chop it and start over on most of it-

added some brackets that bolt to the frame, and also glassed them into the bumper

i've really fixed the contour problem (it had humps where the ranger pan had been broken and bent to fit out contour) at this point, but i don't have many pics. they are sort of pointless when its not on the truck. i'll have it mounted tomorrow and i'll post many more

looking nice man, looking real nice.

well, today i mounted the rollpan, laid 7-10 layers of glass on all the seams from behind (layign on my back under the car) then wait for 6 hours for it to set (its like 40 degrees here at best) then i laid glass on the front side and reformed the end caps with it and some creative use of tinfoil and duct tape.

all in all i did what i needed to do to still be on pace to haver her done

also, i am selling this- http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=105591

add it to the alternator which is for sale, the green rear 60-40 seat and many other little things.

Hey man, sorry the roll pan wasn't quite what you expected. I know nothing about fiberglass so I tried to describe it the best that I could. Glad to hear that you got it worked out though.

the alt is the 130 amp

the rollpan was described properly man

the issues with it were definitely not your fault in any way, and i'm very much a perfectionist when it comes to these things. the issues may in fact actually be my own "fault". that aside, it is workign out great, almost done, and it cost me less than the ranger one i'd have been modifying.

hey expo, do you have a pic of the mdf you made for the kick panels? or did you use ONLY fiberglass? Id like to see it because yours came out killer, i see all these kids making them and they look bulky and ugly, i think its because of the mdf there using, its big and wide. so i wanna see yours. thanks man

i used 1/2" mdf rings, i use them for everything. Look at the pictures of my build up of the rear speaker pods, i did them exactly the same way. I'll take some of them internally maybe when i get a chance

i'm awful busy today with the rollpan

hey expo. i need you to do me a special sub enclosure. hit me up on aim when u get the chance.
