19 owns you (gonna be in truckin too!) worklog!

maybe this is a bad idea, but can the "emblem" be shaved off the grille?? I personally think it would look good with the mounty grille and no mounty emblem. maybe its just me.

omfg  Ford GT = teh pwn4g3!

Tell me you got to touch it!

yeah, i was parked about 50 feet from it at that show. I spent plenty of time by her.

well, remember that box i started a few pages ago? Mike picked up 2 more 15s yesterday for a great price. Looks like its gonna need the following specs-

12.0 cubic feet after woofer and port displacement have been taken out, with two 21" long 50 square inch ports. wish me luck...

its gonna be something ya'll are gonna hear coming though. no way it won't hit harder than my truck even with the general lack of ultimate power its gonna be suffering with just one 800a2 amp for the time being. of course we're gonna run it at 2 ohms mono but it still won't put out more than about 1500 watts total according to the rf techs (although they do confirm it will run that load, as does my previous testing of a 500a2 at 2 ohm mono)

can't wait to get this thing going a little more, really hope i can keep all of the pieces of that box and get that cubic footage, i believe i can though just by adding on a little airspace along with the ports out the now open back of the box and stuffing it all right up to the tailgate.

Looking good question on your camera placement have you hooked up the camera to see what the view is? I ask cause im not sure where to put mine either. peace

haven't hooked it up, but i'm sure its right.

i played with it a little in my house before and it will get a great image from there. only issue is needing better reverse lighting for at night.

oh, as for shaving the emblem off the grille... can't be done unless you want to add new bars in where it used to be. not something i felt like tackling with so many other modifications that are more meaningful on my plate.

oh, that's cool, It was just a suggestion, I didn't know how they were attached, you should be able to come up with something pretty cool for it.

By the way, did you do a write up on the rear seats install from bench to buckets? I am considring doing that to mine with leathers, but don't want to tear up anything if I can help it. Did you have to get a new bracket for the seats to work right?

Ditto. I sooooo want to do this when I go all black interior this summer.

well, it looks hard- i can tell you that much, and i don't have a welder...

i'm gonna be farming this one out, but i'll take pictures

yo man just post a pic when you get the camera view up. thxs

it will be a good 8 weeks

since the interior doesn''t even go in for paint for at least a month

thats fine im just lazy and dont feel like playing around with it right now.

What are you going to do for better lighting? Also, the rollpan doesn't have license plate lights on it, does it? You going to do anything about that?

i already have, just haven't taken any pictures. I have license plate lights from napa that are sort of rounded rectangles. i've takent them and sanding down one side and will be painting it white so it flows with the rest of the pan. I think they'll look good.

as for other lighting... i don't have a plan yet. considering putting fog lights in the reverse light housing of the tails. just a cheaper type set. I have an extra set of fogs and tail lights to mess with so i may do that. otherwise most likely i'll just leave it as is and not back into anything, or stick a light somewhere really ugly and obvious and remove it for showing the truck. i really need some small fogs that put out some light- i'd have jumped on tha other modification, but i just don't know if these lights are bright enough to make a difference.

one thing I think I'm going to do is buy the small circular lights that are like 1" diameter... chop up the license plate bulb holders so that I can fit two small lights facing back. Wouldn't look the best, but it's the best idea I can come up with as far as hiding them. Then just rig them to a switch and/or a relay powered off the reverse lights.

That is a really good idea about the fogs in the reverse light housing... hadn't thought of that. I'm assuming you'd run new power wires for it?
