19 owns you (gonna be in truckin too!) worklog!

just a thought but maybe put a white neon underbody tube underneath the rear of the truck and wire a relay in so that it only comes on with the reverse lights. Ive seen a truck do this with a red tube to the break lights and it will throw more than enough light out for you to see stuff and it will be totally hidden when its not on. just a thought

yeah,i do actually plan on running two underbody kits eventually. a green and a white- probably about the time i get the interior back. Maybe that would be all i needed...

good call

Expo, I just put in those larger powered bulbs into my back-up lights and they work fine. You just can't leave them on for a long period of time cause they will burn out the plastic housing. I bought them from EE, but I am sure you can get them from a parts house. They are just a higher wattage clear bulb. Just an idea and it's allot cheaper than putting in fog lights unless you mount them under the bumber somewhere or roll pan as you have, it just wouldn't look right unless you have a hitch to mount the fog lights on. But the higher output bulbs are the best bet.

but how much brighter are they really? i wonder if i couldn't find a thin light that would fit in the body gap between teh rollpan and the hatch without looking too bad with it open?

you could make your own reverse lights out of High Outou LEDs.... you seem like you know alot when it come to wiring..... I bet it could be done.. Like make a thing that looks like the Line Of Fire LED bar, but just use White Bright LEDs instead of Bright Red LEDs.

Just a thought

something I had always thought about, is mounting them like a foot or so behind the rear bumper and then just have them angled down. That way you would only see the lights. It wouldn't provide the best light, but atleast it would be hidden

im tellin ya as far as amount of light thrown out and being completly hidden nothin is gunna beat the neon tube under the rear rollpan. lemme see if i can find that pick of the truck (besides if your gunna do an underbody kit anyways the relay wiring isnt bad at all). If i tint my windows to limo on the back (my plans) i'll be doing the same thing (no switches either, throw it in reverse and the tube will light)
here it is courtsey of Ben from Streetglow.com and icustarin.com

he hits the breaks and it lights (or thats what it used to do, he changes his truck alot :) )

i've been bothered about this one for a while-

here is the ps2 in the console, it fits nice. I used a dremel to trim my console lid a little and it closes even with the controllers plugged in.

i'm doing my dvd player on the side of my console like that because its silver and not as pretty as my epic160 audiocontrol and my clarion 945dxz so it doesn't deserve to be where its really visible.

Also, got some pics of the armrest w/ the ps2 mounted in it, where it mounts to the bottom etc etc? that is where I'm thinking of hiding a computer over summer...

Lookin good - can't wait to see it done =)
