1989 aerostar speedometer

Hi Could anyone help me please my speedometer is digital when driving it is all over the place if driving at 20 mph it flashes up anything from 2mph - 30 - 17 - can anyone help!

It might be the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) on the tail part of the transmission.

Hi Brooklynbay thanks for the info, is it easy to get a new one and i suppose i can only get one from over your side, i will let you know if it is that.

Check WWW.RockAuto.Com. It's a good idea to electrically check you old VSS, and the inner colored gear for missing teeth before ordering parts.
