OKay so I am helping a friend fix her car.

One of the first things I noticed under the hood is the wiring for a MAP sensor and no sensor.

Now I have seen several early 4.0L's (90-92) with MAP sensors, but in 93 they did away with it.

Problem is the wiring is in place, however there is no vacuul line running to the spot.

So anybody with a 91-92 4.0L (Navjo, or Explorer) that can tell me if you have a MAP (manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor?? THat would be a great help!

Thanks!!

I know my '92 doesn't have a MAP sensor. From what I understand, if the vehicle has mass air it doesn't require a MAP sensor.

Thats right, however Ford being Ford put MAP sensors on some trucks. Apparently I will have to look up the computer pinout and see if the MAP sensor wires go anywhere...........

My sport has one:D
