Love my explorer. IT is well cared for...
A month ago, it suddenly refused to shift out of low, no matter where the shift lever was, the vehicle was in some 'forward' gear. Transmission rebuild time...
Got it back, installed and now it will not shift correctly - it will, at least, go into Neutral, and Reverse, but in Drive, she simply stays in L. I can shift manually from L to 2, but if I go to D, it reverts back to L.
Transmission guy says Valve Body..
Take it back, rebuild guy says he "keeps getting the wrong part in, there were several types of Valve Bodies used in the a4ld..."
WTF? Am I being jerked?
