1993 Explorer

I have a 1993 4x4 Explorer and was looking at getting new wheels, i could get some 2005 explorer sport trac wheels for cheap. Would these work at all? with spacers maybe?

MOD: If you could move this to the Tire/Wheel section that would be great....till then, i will continue to feel like an ass lol

hey man no need to feel like an ass.....
im pretty sure they would work. So long as the bolt patterns are correct.
4.5in bolt pattern 5lug fits yur X. Spacers will possibly be needed. Thats just so the rims and tires dont have that stuck in look.

sweet, thanks a lot, i have unmatching wheel on my beasts right now but can't complain since i got it for free, but found some stock 2005 sport trac wheels for 100 bucks with about 80% tread still.

Will the front hubs fit thru the center cap holes on those ST wheels, without machine work?

I'm hoping thats is what the front and center bore size is and according the myboltpattern.com, they are the same, as are all explorers i believe but i'm not sure. Lol now youre making me wonder man
EDIT: Also, the offset of the 2005 sport trac is closer to the 1st gen explorer than the reg explorer in 2005 so that gets my hopes up for at least not needing as much of a spacer if any

Thats the only thing that i kinda forgot about thinking off...

either way for $100 i wouldnt pass that deal even if it need machined, unless its 2wd n you have asolutly no worries then. If possible id try and test fit them. Mostly just a front wheel tho to make sure all is well in the clearence department.

Again, are you referring to the Center Bore sizes? I'm a little lost when it comes to all the terminology

Yes center bore size of the rim.....if it would make it easier ask the person your buying them from to measure the center and compare to the measue you take from the 4wd hub on your X. lol i know all of this is comfusing but it will help out alot if all measures up correctly.

Ok, I'm pretty sure all explorers have the same 70.6mm center front and rear bore though
So i hope backspacing will be my only concern

Pretty sure you have to drill out the center bore in the front a bit to get them on over the hubs.

didn't get them, the guy had them posted as explorer wheels and 5x114.3mm, went to actually pick them up and they were 6-lug for an expedition, i think i did find another set, i'll take take pictures and post them because i want to know what kind of wheels they are
