1994 ford explorer alarm issue

Hello Everyone,

I have a 1994 Ford Explorer with a factory alarm, I enjoy using it and am impressed that my car had one. Not to long ago my alarm would randomly go off. The door switches work the way they are supposed to and so does the hood switch. I have read that others simply disconnected the alarm but I would like to keep it and make it work the way its supposed to again. I live in San Diego and this problem happens at random times during the day and night, any advise would really help

A drop in battery voltage can cause alarm problems.

My wife's 94 limited would do the same thing, the Ford garage disconnected the hood alarm no more false alarms.
