2002 Explorer alarm issue /door ajar

Yup! I traded it in for a Mini Cooper S! I think I tracked the bad sensor down to the back glass on the back door. If I slammed it shut it wouldn't behave so badly. The truck had 201000 on it and my wife wanted a new car so we got her the Cooper. How can you say no to a 6-speed supercharged roller skate!

Sadly I don't own any more Ford's but that won't stop me from lurking on the board!

I recently had the door ajar alarm in 2002 Explorer. In addition we experienced a couple of false alarms in the middle of the night. Ford dealer diagnosed driver's door ajar switch faulty. $282 cost, including $80 for diagnosis. Seems fine now
