1994 Navajo starts but wont stay running long

So I have a 1994 mazda navajo and it starts but will not stay running long..I have replaced the IAC Valve but the autozone I went to said they didnt have the gasket and noone in town had one for it but it still does it. Also before that when it was running it would drop the RPM's and the speed would drop and when I would hit the gas it wouldnt do anything and the RPM's wouldnt go up but when I pulled it over and restarted it it would run again for awhile and repeat the problem..please help

You could try to change the fuel filter if you haven't tried that yet.
