So I have just had the transmission replaced with a used one recently. Its was working amazing. Then a few weeks later I noticed it started to shift into each gear pretty hard. It kind of slams into gears enough that I feel it. The fluid level looks fine but it does appear a little dark and not as thick as I usually see and its new. that is just an observation not sure if that is just me. As well the tachometer start to work sometimes and not others. Not sure if it is related. And a few times the 4WD light comes on and it appears to be gearing lower. Its not a 4WD car so not sure why that is happening. I am just including this information incase its relevant.
So symptoms:
Transmission is hitting hard into gears
Over drive light is blinking but always has done this off and on
Tachometer is not working only sometimes
Check engine light comes on from time to time
4WD light blinks sometimes even though its not a 4wd (this is not often but occasionally)
Fluid on Transmission appears a little thin to me.
i have searched the forums but cant seem to find answers to these things so I thought I would post
