Hi folks.

I recently bought my first 4x4. This Ford is in great condition, and has been running smothly for a couple months.

Yesterday i clicked my key fob to unlock. No reponse. After checking fuses etc, i coundt find any problems at all. I have 2, but none of em was working.

However unlightly both batteries went dead simultaneously, i went to buy New batteries to make sure.

Clicked it once, and central locked did like a half way open thing like it was stuck or something. I clicked again while walking around the car not knowing where the reciever is, and after 3-4 sec, Bingo, it unlocked !

I thought it was fixed.. Gathered my tools out of the car, and clicked again to lock....

Ehh nope :/................

Wont lock again now. So im thinking maybe the reciever is getting weak?

U guys have any tips?

Thanks
Stan

No, I would think RF interference from elsewhere or fob buttons. Also make lock, hinge, & cable lubrication part of your maintenance program.

Actually the first thing i did after i bought it was take off all door panels and lub up everthing from window elevator mechanics to hinges, cables etc.

That half way thing it when i tried to unlock after changing batteries, sounded more electric then mechanical...

RF interference?

Good job ^ with the lube. Interference from lights fluorescent
