I have a '96 4.0L with about 215,000 miles and some tranny issues.
1) OD light is not coming on and transmission control switch is not working (has been like this since I got it 1.5 years ago)
2) trans seems to drift/hunt between 3rd and OD while at highway speeds (55-65)
3) intermittent shifting/slipping problems from 2nd to 3rd. Usually under light load. The slipping is never present when I am driving normally, well normal for the average driver. I tend to drive more like a little old lady and this is when I experience the slipping the most.
