1996 radio static

ok so I have an original head unit in my Explorer and I was wondering if some one could tell me where the radio is grounded because it picks up a lot of static from the fan when I turn the ac or heater on it usually has some static but u can hear background noise as soon as you turn on the blower motor on and there could be crystal clear music and as soon as you turn the fan on for the ac u can hear it in the static I was wondering if anyone could help me thanks in advance.

For what it's worth, I once owned a used car that had very poor radio reception and a lot of static. It turned out the antenna had been changed and not installed properly. It wasn't grounded. After grounding the antenna the radio worked fine. Just something to check.
