1996 White faced gauges

I just put in a set of gauge faces on my Explorer They work ok BUT the warning lights dont line up with the old gauges and the wording is very hard to see. Has anyone seen this and is there a way to do it correctly or is it that I just got a bad set of faces???

It's a common problem. Not all of mine line up. Actually, at least 1/2 are a tad bit off. I just lined up the important ones - the ones that come on most frequently (Check Engine, 4x4, etc.)

I am putting these gauges in my car as I write. I am trying to connect power to the autolamp so it automatically comes on at dusk. Anyone know where I can find a wiring diagram for the headlight switch?
