1997 Blend Door Problem

My blend door is stuck in the AC position. I don't have the time to pull the dashboard as the winter is coming nearer. I'm also not about to pay the dealer 1000.00 to fix the heat in a car that is about 10years old. So my question is this, does anyone know of a way to manually move the doors position so that it is blowing heat and not AC. I thought I had read somewhere of someone doing it but not how to do it....any suggestions, ideas would be greatly appreciated.....
