1997 Eddie Bauer Explorer 4x4

Just got this puppy last night, and I cannot figure out how to put it in 4 wheel drive. I know where the switch was on my 95 explorer, but no such luck here.

The front axel and transfer case are intact,

Is there a switch? I have a 95 EB same idea, Controltrac I assume.

Is the engine a V8 (5L)? If so, it's an AWD (full-time all wheel drive).

My 97 Eddie Bauer series 4x4 does that automatic 4-wheel drive thing. I don't know what Ford calls it. Anyway, no switches.

If you have a V8 engine, you don't have a 4x4. What you have is either full time All Wheel Drive (AWD) or just rear wheel drive.
