i am new to this forum so thanks in advance for the help.
on my way to work, my explorer started misfiring and the check engine light started flashing and then stayed on solid until i pulled into work. i disconnected the positive battery terminal, and it reset the light, and after letting the idle reset, it does not seem to be misfiring. it has always, when cold, had a bit of a rough idle, but after warming up ran without a hiccup. i had to replace the alternator on Saturday, not sure if that may have had something to do with it. Also, a few months ago, the check engine light came on, and the error code was "system too lean". after having the system reset, the light never came back on.
i plan on getting the codes read after work, but anyoe have an idea of what may be wrong?!?!? i can't affrod something major to go wrong so I am trying to catch it early.
