1997 Ford explorer 5.0L v8 starts spotting when I put in drive line it wants to stall out. Just replied spark plugs and cables.

If it stalls immediately upon putting in DRIVE, or any other gear, expect failed Torque Converter Clutch or it's apply controls, stalling engine in gear.

It doesn't really stall out it feels like it will

make sure you routed them properly! I had a 5.0L crown vic, just replaced plugs and wires, barely ran....

Well read something that explained symptoms of a failing egr valve and how to clean it. Symtoms matched up so I cleaned it. So far seamed to do the trick.
