1998 Exploere: Radio Lights are out...

Just picked up a 1998 Explorer. So far so good. The only issue is that the Radio lights don't work...can't see station/channel.

Is this typically a wiring issue or a radio-repair?

Any help appreciated!

The digital LED panel may have a bad solder connection, it can be fixed by a radio repair shop but a new aftermarket system could cost you less.

Thanks for the info gents. I did the Best Buy route...and went with a $119 Kenwood...works great and looks great!
