The passenger comes first in a Ford. Thats how I remember it.

Running lean on banks 1 and 2

Newbie, but I've visited many times. 01 sport sohc with same issues, but I've cleaned MAF, IAC, changed pcv as well as seafoamed. new plugs and wires, so I am assuming intake gaskets is next...question is, mine starts to break up at 3700 rpm when revved. Will the intake gaskets cause this as well? Thanks in advance

gasket leak & max rpm

My SOHC willingly revved to 6,000 rpm under load with both the upper and lower manifold gaskets leaking. I think you have something besides bad gaskets going on.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking...It almost sounds like it is 'sucking air' when it gets right around 3700 rpm and can't handle any more. I didnotice while changing the oil last week, condensation dripping from cat. converter...Could this be the problem or maybe the fuel filter???
