HELP!!! why does my radio/cd jump from radio to cd to radio to cd? is there a test for this?

Mine did the exact thing after I took it to the dealer for work under the dash. They claim its just a coincedence that my radio broke after they worked next to it. Also the cigaretter power connector burned up but that wasn't their fault either.

If you find out how to stop this please let me know. I have not found anything in the forum yet.

my friends taurus radio face plate had a similar issue. she would hit a bump and it would change stations. the button was wore out. I swapped the face after my sister had a radio installed in her taurus and it went away.

now if you can take the face off your radio and look for damage in the CD or Radio Switches then rebuild them this should fix it. otherwise off to the junkyard you go
