1998 Explorer XLT AC compressor switch.

How do you remove the ac compressor switch? The 2 wires are removed, is there a certain tool to spin the switch out? How do you bypass the switch to test if the switch is bad?

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread into the A/C & heater section. A box wrench is used to turn the switch. A small piece of wire plugs into the socket to bypass the switch when you want to test the circuit, and refill the system with freon.

I believe there is a valve in the dryer to keep the R134a from escaping.
