1998 Front Drive Shaft compatibility/interchangability.

Hey all,
First off, I've searched and found a lot of info on transfer cases, but not much specifically pertaining to Front drive shafts.

My Front driveshaft was removed some time ago, for dignostic purposes, and unfortunately was "misplaced" i suspect that somebody (father) scrapped it because of where i was storing it beside the house.

Though i'm sure i could go find one at a junkyard, I'd like to know what year vehicles, would be a possible donor for my 1998 xlt a4wd (control trac). if i could find a kijiji parts car or something that i could scavange and acoid salvage yards, that'd be ideal.

... unless someone on the forum, in my area knows where.how.who. etc. to get one, or could ook me up.

I think you can use a front D/S from a 97 and up. 95 and 96 used a different D/S, but I believe that 97 was the first year for the CV equipped front driveshaft.
