1998 Mercury Mountaineer oxygen sensor location for bank 1.

I have had engine code and had autozone scan. It said it is bank 1 sensor 1 upstream.

the problem is what side is this on? they said drivers side...info onnet tells me passenger side. called autozone back said it was on cylinder #1 side which they say is passenger side now? I have poked around here an still am confused.

Any help to point to the actually side?

Cylinder 1 is the passenger side. I always forget bank 1 and 2. But you can search here and find the info for sure.

Bank 1 is always on the same side as cylinder #1.
