Well, my truck has been running very rough lately and the engine light was flashing last week, now its idleing and running very rough.

I replaced the plugs and wires and nothing has changed. Now I guess I'm down to coil packs/EGR.

Anyone have any other ideas. My Mounty is not very driveable in its current state so anything will help.

Thanks

A bad injector can cause a miss fire as well. Did you have the code read? It should tell you the specific cylinder that is misfiring.

P0300 Code - Cylinder Misfire

Technical Description

Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected

Coil packs would be a good thing to check- In the dark, pop the hood- watch for arcing. (A jtsmith trick)

If your certain the plugs and wires are good, and don't see any evidence of arcing, coil packs may be a good choice.

If you had a bad injector, I suspect you'd get a cylinder specific code.

random/mult misfire, not specific...i guess coil packs are next
