1998 or 1999

hello all: my trucks sticker on the door jam says the build date is 9/98
that makes it a 1999 right?

Yes that would make it a 1999 model year.. Also you could look it up via VIN too to determine it

What does your title say. It really doesn't matter when it was built it is what the title says because you will never get the title changed if it say 98 and not 99.

It can be a '98 build date and be a '99 model year truck. Mystery solved! (unless they swapped a bumper!)
