"If you have the limited slip rear end and the clutch packs have not been changed there's a good chance you will have the shutter problem. It will shutter from a take off while turning."

which pretty much describes what i think i have..it's slight right now and doesn't happen all the time.

How do I know if I have a limited slip?
1. How much should I worry about it?
2. Can I change the clutch myself and how much would it cost?
3. Anything else I might wanna know about this problem?

THANK YOU!:salute:

Have you changed the fluid?
If not, do so now and add 4 oz trac loc additive.
See if this doesn't free the clutches--

There is an information sticker on the driver door jam with an axle code.

See Fords TSB 06-2-16. Mine is in for the 5th time.

Picked up Exploder from dealer today. They replaced the Clutch Pack for the 3rd time. The last time was 11000 miles ago so it fell under the 12mo/12K mile warranty. With 30K left on the ESP warranty you can be sure I will be taking it back whenever I notice anything strange in that rear end. I mean, 5 rebuilds in last 35000 miles. Should not happen that way. Expecially since I do not tow anything or do any offroading.

I opened up a case with Ford Customer Service. Not help really other than to have it documented once again. They said since it was fixed (according to the dealer) then that should solve the problem.

Any other reports/solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Until next time....
