1999 Explorer with an A/C electrical problem.

Our 99 Explorer AC stopped working. I have checked the connector that I assume is the pressure switch on the back of the compressor. It has no power on the red wire! When I connect power to the black wire which I assume is connected to the clutch it acts like it's a dead short!

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread into the A/C & heater section. The pressure switch is on the accumulator. The compressor has an electric clutch coil. Did you check the relay?

It's a '99 Mountaineer V8. I have checked the switch by the accumulator and also replaced the switch by the condenser. The wire into the compressor still has no voltage.
