1999 Ford Explorer will not start.

Have replaced the battery and the starter relay. When you turn the key the starter clicks. do I need to replace the starter.

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread into the stock 95-01 section. Bench test the starter, and check the starter's electrical cables. Clean the battery terminals.

probably so .
you could go under the truck with a hammer and give the starter a whack ,she might start after that .if it does then you surely need a new starter.
