1st gen explorer still actual?

Hi all.

I from Ukraine and as we not reach country, so US cars enought expensive for me.
But in one day got nice (I hope) offer to buy used Explorer 1993 year.
Last owner wanna fast sell coz it have rusty and generally problem its bad gear - won't drive on К and to front goin only on D2.
Also leak front right break...

Rest is work good!

Wanna ask people who own this model.
What do you think, its still ok car and need fix or better sale and buy more fresh year!

The automatic transmission is the one big weak link in 91-94 Explorers. Everything else is good.
I have had my 93 for 25 years and put 350,000+ miles (563,000km) on it, original drivetrain and no engine repairs.
