Ok fellas, I got a 4 inch Trailmaster kit. Kit went on good. I did the axle flip on the rear and bought new weld on pads. What pinion angle am I needing to be at?? I got this kit from a friend that had bought it for an older Ranger. When I did the axle flip I broke the springs apart and put the add a leaf in the pack. Assembled the entire rear and put it on the ground. The rear is substantially higher than the front. I was gonna pull the add a leafs back out, hopefully acheiving the same height as the front. My friend suggested that I buy 2" leveling bushings for the front and keep the rear height as it is. I was wondering if the alignment would work out doing the bushings, what degree pinion angle do I need for the rear before welding the spring pads on and lastly should I pull the add a leafs and not touch the front or what? I would love to make the front as high as the back but im not looking to have a bunch of problems because this is my daily driver. Please help!

Thanks,
Keith

Take the add a leaf out, when I did my SOA I also removed the overload leaf and welded my perches parallel to the bottom perch.

Anyone else?? I need help....... Take the add a leaf out, keep the add a leaf and put leveling bushings in the front to make it 6"?????? Also pinion angle???

put f150 spring perch in the front under the coil springs,
do not have the add a leaf in the rear
once everthing settles you will be about level
if you put your rear spring perches on parallel to the bottom perches your pinion angle will be fine.

Yes what gaylor said.

I took the add a leaf out. Truck now sits level! Im pleased w/ it. Gonna get 33x12.5's and Eagle 102's. That should complete the look! Thanks fellas,

Keith

I disagree with the pinion angle.
Yes you can run the 8.8 springover axle witht he pads parallel, but part of the advantage of welding pads on instead of going with the Superlift kit is the ability to adjust the pinion angle.
There is no "set" angle to run it at (like I cant tell you run it at 103 degrees) but if you know what to look for you can eyeball it or you can get a angle gage from Sears and check it out..

Add a leafs suck.
It is also likely that if you add 1.5-2" of spacer to the front Trailmaster coil you will not be able to align it, each truck is different however.
Ditch the add a leaf, weld on the pads, set the pinion angle, check the driveshaft length. and add max 1" of spacer up front and get shims to adjust the camber. If you have it aligned make sure they will bring it back in for adjustment after the springs are allowed to settle.......
