When I turn lock to lock at slow speeds I get this clunk. Anyone have suggestions on what it might be? I put on new springs & shocks & it still does it. I lubbed everything, & my RA bushings are in good shape. Nothing seems loose. Nothing is rubbing, new tires & rims, new brakes. Only happens at slow speeds, like when turing into a parking spot & only happens with the steering almost at full lock.

How are your tie rod ends and idler arms, center link? If all that checks out as well, the radius arm bushings often look good and feel tight but are messed. If everything else has been done then that's where I'd put my money, especially if they are original. Good luck.
Peace

I have the same problem and I believe it is the front auto hubs are not fully disengaging and when you move to extreme left or right the inner shaft rubs with the hub and ( almost re-engages) but can't because the outer shaft is not turning to force the inner shaft to complete the engagement. Get your hubs taken out and cleaned and soaked in tranny fluid and re-installed without grease( or do it yourself quite easily)...I'm converting to manual hubs shortly and FallsGuy is going to help me...he just doesn't know it yet. :D This will eliminate the clunking

skyjacker 2" lift? do you have a drop pitman arm?could be your problem... Bump-steer related.

my other guess is Axle pivot bushings... did you replace them recently... did you press them all the way in? or are they original and in need of being replaced? BTW, if you feel that the axle pivot bushings Do need to be replaced, use the James Duff axle pivot bushings... you can retain the stock bushing-sleeve. Which makes the install easier and also makes less room for error.

TieRod ends/Ball joints are also a good start... although i would imagin that this isnt your problem.

My auto hubs are fine. No 4x4 problems. The lift isn't the problem cause my X did it before that. I haven't replace any bushings. Truck only has 84K miles. How do you check them other then visiable inspection? Cause all my front bushings "look" fine. Nothing moves when I tug on things. Also I found that sometimes while braking hard at the very last sec before the truck stops(maybe going 1-2mph) I sometimes get a clunk. It doesn't happen all the time, & I can't reproduce it at will.
