Hello all, I have been surfin this website for over a year now since I purchased a 1999 Explorer Sport. This is to be my first post ever since I am now ready to purchase some parts and make some mods. I have questions about a body lift, shackles, and leaf suspension. I don't mean to be long winded but I tried to do my homework 1st before posting. FIRST off I think the BL kit I need is #PRA-PA-883 from perfromance accessories available at www.summitracing.com that fits 98-00 Rangers.(How well does this kit fit?)(Mods?) SECOND question is (What are the correct Warrior shackles fot my vehicle?) and (Where do I buy them?) LASTLY I found these helper springs that are $30 a pair. Short springs 1 pair per side of vehicle attach to top of leafs. Will these work to stiffen the ride up a bit? Maybe lift a bit? I am hoping to get a few answers from the board and get my project started. I will get some good pics of the install and post on the board for others future refs. All help is much welcome.

The PA body lift is pretty simple to install with impact tools. You should have no problems with the installation. It comes with everything needed in the kit. The Warrior shackles part number is 153. You may have to contact summit racing or whoever you want to purchase the stuff from over the telephone since they don't normally list the warrior shackle on their catalogs or online inventory. I wouldn't waste my money on the helper springs. Try to find a set of leaf springs from a 4 door Explorer. The TT/Shackles will stiffen the ride a lil bit but you drive a SUV built on a truck frame not on a uni-body frame.

Welcome, I'm glad you decided to finally join the family and post :D Sorry I can't be of help with your questions about the second gen Explorer.
