my other explorer rear axel grindssome times when i take coners and hit the gas hard
i jaked it up and and the wheels move out a bout a 1/2 inch on each side from the axel hoesing what wuold be bad on it i use it every day and i go about 70 miles a day on it

Can't be certain really, gotta take it apart to figure out whats wrong. Grinding could be anything including brakes.
 






not brakes just did them and check them and the tiers move from side to side it feels like i can pul it out of the akel
 






1/2" seems excessive but yes the axle can be moved in/out of the axle tube because the only thing really holding it on are little tiny C-clips in the differential (image below). At this point, I'd say to remove the differential cover and check out whats going on inside.

all i have to say is get the c-clip eliminator. i had the same problem and i got the kit and TODO ES BUENO. (spanish for all is good)
 






To be honest, plenty of people on the forum abuse their 8.8 with 36" and larger tires with the stock C-clips and haven't really had any problems.

For a daily-driver, C-clips eliminators are probably a little debatable.
