Ok, I have a 2000 Explorer 4dr and the none of the windows will roll down or up from their switches. I can use all 4 window switches on the driverside door modual and they will work with out a problem. Where can I start looking to find out why the doors do not roll down with their switchs but will roll down from the drivers door? Thanks

Wade

i will first look into window fuses.

did they work before and they just quit?

I am not sure we bought it used and I did not pay attention to the windows until we got home. I looked at the only two fuses I thought to look at which was the big 30amp under the hood and number 18 on the driverside panel. Is there other fuses I should be looking for? I don't understand why they will work if I use the switches on the driverside but if you go to the back door that switch will not roll the window up or down.

if they work with the drivers side switch then you know that the problem is in the switch or fuse. first check all the fuses in the drivers side door and then i will open the rear panels and check the connector in each switch.

its most likely not a fuse problem. Your problem is with the "lockout" switch at the mastercontrol. Lots of posts.... usually the switch gets "dirty" and even though it "looks" like it is in the right position visually, underneath, the contacts are not. It can be cleaned or replaced.

Man you guys are great. Before I posted I took the door skins off and checked everything and it all looked good and I am guessing when I put the driver's door back together I must have knocked loose the dirt or whatever becuase all windows work from their own switches and also the drivers door. Thanks guys.
