I am a complete newbie to these forums. I have a 2000 Explorer and it has fog lights that are factory installed. I have looked in the owners manual. My Explorer has the rear wiper controls, defrost and 4 wheel drive switch but no fog light switch which is supposed to be located under the defrost switch.

I am thinking maybe someone before me replaced the cover with the switch with a cover that doesn't have the switch for the fog lights. Maybe there is some place else I need to look for the switch I may have over looked. Any suggestions or ideas would be helpful.

If I need to find another plate where would I got about getting one?

Thanks, Shepherd83

I think you're right about the bezel being replaced. Use "Ford Explorer Radio Bezel" as a search term on eBay and you should find many suitable options that do include the fog light switch. Expect to pay between $25-40 before shipping. It's an easy swap out too.

Thanks! I pulled the bezel out this morning and everything seems to be there for the fog light switch. I did a search on ebay and found a few options that are inexpensive that should take care of my problem. I also found a few nice factory radios too as I need one since some of the buttons on mine have stopped working.

There MAY be some issues once the switch/bezel is installed. Makes you wonder why someone would eliminate the fogs.

My gut feeling is someone got a stereo ripped off (complete w/ bezel which seems to happen often) and replaced it with the wrong one before selling the truck.

Let's hope for the best. :)
