- 2013 Explorer Base 4x4
Hello everyone! I just picked up a 2000 Explorer for a pretty decent price. I',m planning on doing a SAS to it and replacing my beloved XJ. Anyway, I have a HP Dana 44 out of a '76 Bronco that I was planning on using as a donor. My question is if it's too wide and whether maybe I should look for one out of a 1st gen. Bronco? I was thinking that maybe I could remove the knuckles and narrow it and run axle shafts out of the 1 gen. Any thoughts? I'm in the planning stages right now. Anyone know how tough it is to run 35's without alot of trimming? I'm afraid I'm a bit more knowledgeable in the world or Jeeps as of right now.
