Hi Folks,
I have a 2000 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer 4dr with a 4.0 SOHC V6. Problem is I have no 4wd. Indicator lights come on but only rear wheels spin in Auto, 4WD Hi and 4WD LO. However, the shift motor is working as I have Lo, but its only 2WD (rear wheels spin).
In 4wd Hi I only have a fluctuating .5 to 1.5 volts at the brown wire that goes into the transfer case. Seem to me this should be 12 volts. Can anyone verify this?
Ford Dealership and independent transmission shop are perplexed.... Any advice?
