It's the v6 4.0, it's a 2000
For some reason nothing happens when you turn the key, literally nothing no dash lights no cranking nothing, put a brand new battery still nothing.
Was told it was possibly the ECU? And one have any idea what it could be ?

dumb question but do ANY lights come on? like dome or headlights? just asking that so you can rule out anything battery, or charging system related.

No, no lights what so ever. Like nothing at all

next i would check voltage from the batter posts, then at the cables. it might be as simple as a loose cable that needs a wiggle. if you have voltage at both, then look where the positive cable goes to the solenoid by the fender.

Do 2000's have a fusible link. If so, voltage at battery but non at fuse block.

Don't have fuseable links all runs to some junction box. And what is that solenoid?

it goes to the starter. just wanted to know if you had power to that. if you did, then you have problems further down the line

Okay thanks for the help, I'm buying a voltage tester tonight and try and find where the problem is.
