ok, so we just finished swaping in a motor into my dad's explorer.(old one lost compression) we have everything hooked up, correctly to my understanding.
the issue's:(yes a list)
the vehicle act's like it's not recieving inof power from the battery.
so we jump start it and even then it show's low battery, resulting in a hard time starting.
when it start's i have to keep my foot on the gas pedal so it wont die. i noticed that it losses oil pressure when it gets lower then 1k rpm.
it smoke's from the sparkplug's.
and has a rattleing noise, i assume it's either timing thats off, or something broken and bounceing around inside.

help is much appreciated.
thank you,

sounds like a possible computer issue. You don't say if the engine years are the same?? just a stab in the dark at this point..

sorry, yes they are both 2000. we're using the same ECU we had on the previous motor.(it had no issue's of this sort.)
thank you for your help
