A factory explorer sits high enough I can scoot under.

Really on an Explorer the body mounts, and the rear frame between the spring hangers will tell the tale. If those are solid the rest will be serviceable.

Of course. The video idea was for not getting down in the dirt, or for low slung vehicles.

It is funny
I use a tarp to lay on when I'm under my truck and everybody picks on me for my raggedy tarp lol

I'm in New England. There are no $1500-$2500 4WD vehicles worth spending the money on or, moreso, worth driving. What cost $8,000 in 2019 is now $12,000-$15,000. Gougers trying to profit off a crisis. A crisis most likely engineered and deployed for nefarious purposes, i.e., to gauge citizen compliance with outrageous edicts and loss of liberties.

410's trick of gas pedal to the floor for few seconds on startup, then release pedal, works to stop the startup rattle. Saving my pennies for flatbed truck camper in a few years, to tour the country for up to one year. Flatbed rigs are big $. I'll keep the 386,000 mile Month going for a few more years.

I paid $600 for my first flatbed and $800 for the one I have now…. I installed it myself and sold the old bed and camper shell for $1200 hahahahahahaha
Gotta love craigslist
Real trucks are built, not bought

These flatbeds have storage boxes under the bed ("tray" in truck camper lingo) and storage boxes on top of the bed that fill the recessed sides of the truck camper. A setup like this allows max storage for all kinds of gear, boots, tools, even clothes. If you're gonna be living out of the camper for months or longer, this setup allows you to take everything you need for such a long time.

This one sold for $33k in 2019. An absolute steal all day long. Another one that got away.

Agreed, you can’t find a decent V8 Ex for under $2500 in NE.

I managed to get my V8 before COVID for like $600, but she was absolutely hurting. I probably put $3000 in parts into her. She still looks rough, I’d like to paint her. A little rusty underneath. But overall a strong performer now. Lots of blood and sweat poured into that one.

I saw a nice V8 Limited sitting in a yard with no plates on it. I’d love to go to the front door and see what they want for it, but I’d bet they wouldn’t take a penny under $4000. It’s absolutely insane

Cars, houses, everything is insanely expensive
