2000 OHV What is this? How do I disconnect?

FIXED!!!! Thanks to Dan for his response and to all on the forum for the information contained within.

Removing the intake plenum to replace gaskets and plugs/wires. This piece is stopping me and I can't figure out how to disconnect. Help!

Thats the EGR tube, once you get the intake loose and all bolts and hoses and wires off, it should pull up, just give the intake a twist around that hose, it should then slide right out, there is nothing really holding it in, besides an o-ring.

Glad I can help, I know that had me stumped for a while til I just decided to get into it one day trying to fix a broken bolt on my EGR valve.
