2000 sport 4x4 issuse----help

Only been a member for a month or so.
Still having 4 by problems.
Let me get u up 2 date
A 6cyl, SOHC auto trans. Newly purchased. 150k rounds.
4x4 isn't working. No "flashing lights" And yes, I have read a billion threads.
Doesn't matter if in 4L, 4H, OR Auto- when 4by should be engaged, shake and shutter in the front, only engageing the rear.

I have checked;
If the front is jacked up, checked if;rotating one front tire the other does rotate backwards.----yes.
I have checked that the transfer case motor is engageing----yes
I also have changed all fluids with synthetics-[not that I thought that would solve the issue, but just wanted to.

Sure would like some real expert advice on how t proceed.

It's not possible to check that... Shifting to 4high doesn't move the motor. The motor is only responsible for range selection on your t-case.

Have you checked the fuses? Have you checked to see that the switch is connected? (Seen connectors not get fully seated after replacing a stereo)

Start there...
