I have spent a good amount of time looking in each kick panel and behind the stereo and cannot find this gray/black wire for the VSS. I have looked at all the electrical schematics I can find, and almost all say it will be located on the square connector into the stereo, but trust me it is not. I have seen ( I believe at autozone.com) that in the year 2000 they omitted the VSS from the stereo?

The factory stereo I had was the radio/cassette/CD with (4) door speakers, with rear controls in the rear of the center console and no rear amp or sub.

I would like to have it for the navigation unit (Pioneer X940BT).

I know that the rear ABS sensor sends the analog (positive only) hall affect signal to the ABS module behind the battery in engine compartment, and then sends a out a filtered version of this signal inside to many other components.

I believe it goes to the speedometer also, but doesn't seem necessary, it is shown everywhere on the schematics. Does it go to the GEM? What is the best access to the GEM Harness plug?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jason
